Plantable Paper Option

Select the plantable paper option if you would like to enjoy fresh blooms and greens all year round.

Depending on the month, the plantable calendar is embedded with a Lettuce and Rocket seeds, Swan River Daisy seeds, and Forget-Me-Not seeds.

Plantable cards are all made to order, and will only be made with the chosen seeded paper while stocks last (we will let you know if changes need to be made).

Green Salad Bowl Lettuce (Lactuca Sativa) and Wild Rocket (Diplotaxis Tenuifolia) can be grown directly in the garden or in pots. Sow seeds at a depth around 3 times the diameter of the seeds (around 3mm). Harvest in 8-12 weeks. Water daily and keep soil moist. Try to provide some shade to prevent the lettuce from bolting to flower and seed in hotter months. Harvest rockets regularly by picking the leaves, and cut back the plant to ground level once full-sized to encourage new shoots.

Swan River Daisy (Brachycome iberidifolia) is a native flower Indigenous to WA and Central Australia, which come in a variety of shades such as blue, violet, yellow, and white It is best grown open, sunny positions, and prefers light to medium soils. It is very hardy and is both drought and frost resistant. It can grow in most regions of Australia all year round. It grows to a height of 0.2m with a spread of 0.3m. Seeds take 2-12 days to germinate. Sow around May or June.

Forget-Me-Not (Myosotis alpestris) is a lovely small flowering plant. It grows to about 30cm tall with pretty blue flowers during spring to early summer. It prefers moist, but well-drained soil in semi-shaded areas and make stunning borders. It complements other spring flowers, such as tulips, and can also look great in a window box or container. Seeds take 8-14 days to germinate, and established plants can be divided to create new plants.
